What do I do if I receive a copyright claim?

If you get a copyright claim (on YouTube or elsewhere), it is nothing to panic over. It rarely happens. On the off chance that you do receive one, it doesn’t mean a strike has been created against you or your channel. Also, there is an easy (and quick) way to resolve this. If this music is royalty-free, why would I get a copyright claim? Just to be clear, this rarely ever happens! Usually claims result from an automated content identification service flagging your creation as potentially containing copyrighted material. This could be a mistake or it could also be the result of someone (who is using my music) submitting their creation to a ContentID service. This could possibly create a false copyright claim, since both projects are using the same music. I am always happy to hear from customers who are using my music in their projects. Recently I heard from an amazing creator who is using some of my royalty-free meditation music in his gorgeous videos featuring humpback whales. Peter Schneider is a nature filmmaker specializing in the creation of nature films, documentaries, travel films, stock footage and more. He does it all, acting as cameraman, director, producer, editor, best boy, and diver. The results are outstanding and I am proud to have my music featured in his projects! Hi all! I am super pumped to share these animated visualizations that I put some of my music to. I worked with a friend of mine who is a fantastic animator. His name is Joey Carlino. I made some special super-long versions of these tracks and used the animations (which loop seamlessly) to make visualizations that are over an hour long. I’m going to walk you through an easy way to do this (and have it sound good) on a limited budget. Ready? Let’s go! What You’ll Need Before You Start There are a few things you will need before you start the process. You may already have these things or maybe you’ll need to get them. Over the years I’ve encountered a lot of questions from people confused about what royalty-free music is and how it works. I’ll admit, I’ve even been confused at times, especially when I was just starting to write royalty-free music about 10 years ago. This article will clear up what royalty-free music is and also provide some guidelines for how you can use the music available on this website. What Royalty-Free Music IS NOT FREE – Despite the confusing name, royalty-free music is not necessarily free. I’ve described it in the past as being like the term “sugar-free”. You wouldn’t expect a “sugar-free” item at the grocery store to be free, it just means that there is no sugar in the item.
