How to Become an Insight Timer Teacher (Video Tutorial)

After writing my article How to Get Background Music for Guided Meditations on Insight Timer + How to Become a Teacher / Publish, I decided to make a video tutorial version of the article. If you’re looking to become a teacher on Insight Timer, I’m here to help you learn about the process and to provide resources for creating your own guided meditations, including how to get background music and how to record and edit your mediations. I’ll also provide specific details about how to upload your tracks, how to credit your contributors properly, how income is earned, and also some tips to perform well on Insight Timer.

Important Note: As of the summer of 2024, Insight Timer has announced that they will be taking steps to adjust their payment structure. Responses to community questions will no longer be part of income, and tracks that result in more drive back to the platform will earn more income (to name a couple proposed changes). Hopefully most of this tutorial will remain accurate, but please check Insight Timer’s documentation for more accurate and up-to-date details.
